Barry Robinson was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, received his Bachelor of Arts from Victoria University and Master of Divinity from Emmanuel College, the University of Toronto. In 1970 he was ordained as a member of the Order of Ministry in the United Church of Canada and served as a parish minister for 28 years - for several of those years in team ministry with his wife Susan, a lay associate minister.

Barry is a member of: The Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists & Psychotherapists & The Storytellers' School of Toronto.
Barry now works as: a marriage & family counsellor in private practice and provides clinical therapy and assessment for a growing list of clients and Employment Assistance Providers. He provides storytelling performances and workshops on the art of storytelling. He also writes and publishes Keeping the Faith in Babylon: A pastoral resource for Christians in exile, a popular weekly sermon & lectionary subscription series for clergy and laity.
Barry and Susan Robinson live on the Bruce Peninsula in central Ontario, on a waterfront property tucked under the Niagara escarpment on the shores of Georgian Bay.
